I'm aghast that men trained to kill as many men as possible don't show proper respect for their dead enemies! How is that possible? Mind blowing. Whatever happened to being polite after you've used your machine gun to blow holes into an indiscriminate number of people?

In the end, yes, I would have a Taliban soldier over for dinner if he was a friend of a friend, but not in a comfortable, relaxed, everything's fine kind of way. More like a you only live once kind of way.

I believe it's understood that you're having him over nice, and he can pick at his plate if he wants. It's not a trick and he's force-fed.
My poll questions allow me only so much room. |

It disheartens me that our soliders pissed on the dead.
I understand the toll it must take on the soliders to be in the situation that they are in and the attitudes that would typically develop. I consider this toll in my opinion of the U.S. engaging in military conflicts. It disheartens me because I view the U.S. as the good guys. Not the snarky anti-hero from a movie but instead as the good, boring, heads screwed on right people. It may not always seem to be this way, but it is an ideal to strive for. I know we demand a lot of our soliders and one of the thing we demand is for them to be good even when your insides scream for you to punish the bastards even in death. We should condone their weakness while admitting the hell we have placed upon them. |

Thanks. Lucas got it done for me with his sick knowledge of unplugging the router and the modem, and, when plugging them both in, plugging them in as close to the same time as possible.
He then demanded $29.94 for his knowledge. Still a deal. |
