I voted no because nobody's better than another person. Person A may be smarter and richer than person B, but person B is artistic and funnier. Neither one is better.
The internet should be regulated as far as what people are able to upload and download and porn sites need to be patrolled so that kids can't get on them. |

I'm not better than you.
But I'm pretty sure Google, Wikipedia, just about anyone involved in academia, and the motherfucker who actually invented the internet, are better than you, the RIAA, MPAA, Comcast, Time Warner, Clear Channel Radio, Rupert Murdoch, FOX NEWS, and the technologically clueless octogenerian senators who are getting paid to push this through. Why do you believe in evolution, or that the earth is more than 6,000 years old? Is it because you personally read all the academic journals and closely examined the scientific evidence, and carbon dated some fossils? Or did you (like most every reasonable person on the planet) look at only the evidence you had time for, look at who is claiming evolution is true, and then look at the people claiming it isn't, and go "Yeeah, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna trust the professor over the guy who told me I'm evil for touching myself." Either way, you're jumping on a bandwagon unless you decide to become a scientist of a priest. But some bandwagons are so obviously full of retards that you'd have to be an idiot to jump on them. SOPA/PIPA is one of those obviously retarded bandwagons. Last edited by BadDecisionDino; 01-20-2012 at 01:14 AM. |

I was gonna say something about how if you need more time to get informed about an issue, don't just come out guns blazing with such conviction behind your opinions. You assume that the people arguing with you just found out about this SOPA/PIPA stuff today, but it's actually been on a lot of people's minds for months now. Anyway, that's what I was gonna say before I decided to unpause the show which I stopped right before your fucking shyamalan twist out of nowhere, deciding to change sides. I guess fuck me for being a smug douche and starting a debate before I'd listened to the whole show. But Keith from a few hours ago was kinda being a smug douche too...just sayin'...

Hey, let's talk about Pat Dixon for a sec. Here's a video of Justin Jay McIntosh making Pat's portrait.

Keith Malley: Entitled To An Opinion?
Although I myself am against SOPA and certainly shocked at Keith's response to it: it's understandable that KEITH AS AN ARTIST WOULD WANT TO PROTECT HIS CONTENT. I'm not just trying to jerk-off Keith here, either. Seriously, people..you haven't downloaded the new Black Keys' album off a torrent site for free, and then youtube'd an interview w/ the band and some interviewer is like, "So how does your band feel about illegal downloads?" Their response is sad! It sucks. If you don't feel like a thief, (I know I do) than your deluding yourself. Should things be cheaper - hell fuck yes. It's an amazing precedent that Louis CK is selling his DVD for $5 off his site. I support that. online digital products need to be figured out. If not, our beloved musicians and comedians are going to become the most under-paid professions out there - right next to the lowly teacher. How depressing...
of course, now that I think about it...depression does inspire music and create great laughs... Nevermind. Everyone's right! Fuck 'em! Everythings free...! Whee...! |

I had no doubt Keith would be for PIPA and SOPA. This is all part of Keith's Justice where cops can shoot people simply for littering; in light of this, is the idea of the government controlling the internet really so far fetched? His political philosophy of absolute control enforced by violence in the streets is absolutely no different from that of Syria or North Korea, which he loves to criticize. The unfortunate part of all of this is that despite his lip service to patriotism, Keith is extremely un-American in his anti-freedom views.
