Let's Lynch the Landlords

In my experience Landlord's are always looking for ways to keep that deposit. The fact Keith had to remind him and he made a face would indicate he's lookin to take at least a chunk out!
Also, what's up w/ Keith's new place not being ready? He should be having rent knocked off, plain and simple.

Do you pay your security deposit to a third party like we do here (Rental Tenancy Authority) or directly to the landlord? Here, if the real estate agent or landlord are dragging their feet we can apply straight to the the RTA for our deposit back and then its up to the other side to fight it if they don't agree. When we've done it that way it's the only time we get all our money back because real estate agents always milk you. We had money taken off once because they claimed we didn't clean any of the windows. The day before one person had spent 6 hours only cleaning windows.

Coincidently - I listened to Myq on an old Maron WTF episode yesterday. Marc had a real attitude with Myq at first which reminded me of how I used to feel hearing Myq on old KATG pods. I no longer scream "shut up" at my ipod when he goes into an overly long explanation of things but I still roll my eyes every time he drops a pun. I guess he's grown on me which is quite a "Coo, Coo".

He'll get the deposit back. It will be a hassle, but it will happen.

Also, if it takes more than one additional visit to the previous landlord, he should threaten with posting some disparaging remarks on that review website that he mentioned in regards to the new broker.
