I remember going by myself to a comedy club when I was travelling solo around the uk. And being young and naive, I eagerly sat up front. Well, a young lady sitting up front by herself and nursing a wine apparently attracts attention because each act singled me out for participation. The main act was the only one who ‘picked on’ me, asking if I was alright being there by myself, was I librarian?, etc etc. Too bad I turned out to be a librarian years later but that’s not the point!
I just wanted a fun night out. This experience took away a lot of that fun (although I did make friends because after getting singled out three times in a row, a group took pity on me and I joined their table) and now I’m wary about sitting too close to any stages... |

Not that it matters, but just to clarify my blow job comments:
I was 16-17, still a virgin, dumber than I am now, and blow jobs just got the job done so much faster. I was never in a relationship with any of those guys, and I knew I didn't want to have my first time with them. It was more for the the practice and the fact that I needed to share SOME for of sexual expression with another person. Blow jobs were a good way to end the "session" with out me having to do more or say no to more. 90% of the time after I started sucking, I was basically bored during the first 5 minutes. It was easier to just keep going and make it end. I only swallowed because it's more lady like and requires less clean up, aduhh. And I didn't want to be known as that girl who teases and then freezes up. I was also really idealizing and wanting to experience being sexually submissive at the time and just kind of did what they said...ughhhhhhh wishing I could take some of those back right about now.

"Pussy should be brushed and mouth should be douched" hahahahahaha.......
Chemda, From what I heard, it sounds like you walk on egg shells when your mother is around. That sucks. That really bummed me out. So you didn't do what your mother wanted. So what. Your more successful than probably most of the people you know. Keep doing what you do. I think you and Keith are great. Keep doing you. It makes you happy. Don't change for anyone. I know I speak for all the listeners, we love you just the way you are. Mike Lawrence, you're awesome! |

As someone who's had to look at reference photos to draw you, Chemda, let me just say that you're a fine weight!
I don't want to get into your personal affairs with your mother, but don't let any of her comments make you even remotely modest, you look great! |

Two chicks are sitting side-by-side in the front row at a comedy special. They're both all dolled up. The comedian makes a point to pause, stare, and drink in both girls for a moment.
After enough time passes and enough tension builds, the comedian says, "Look. At. This. Stereo pussy. I love it." The comedian? Andrew "Dice" Clay. Was "Dice" doing crowd work, just being "Dice", breaking the comedian/audience barrier first, or what? Clay saying something like this isn't the same as the tired bit of, "Where ya from?" or "Wadda ya do for a living?", but it's all still crowd work. And so is commenting on not hearing an audience member's distinctive laugh like Hedberg did on one of his albums. (Something similar happened to me at a show once.) I don't think there's a black and white solution to this. If an audience member is being a prick, then it's fair game to humiliate him/her as the comic sees fit. But, if a comic actually has good material to start and wants to riff a little with the crowd during the set, what's the harm? Riffing doesn't have to be degrading someone else. I would imagine that comics sometimes feel in a groove and can really ad lib some good jokes in the spur of the moment. I just don't see this as an all or nothing type of solution. |
