I think that the real issue with all of these threats or saying stuff like you're OK with being punched in the face is that we still haven't caught up with the idea of it being potentially permanent. This is especially apparent with the current generation of kids.

I think most adults either have the capacity to think about what they publicly post, or have a healthy distrust of technology and stay away. Kids have all this technology in their hands and have unprecedented ability to insert their thoughts and experience into the public zeitgeist, but they (or at least the majority) don't have the mental capacities yet to realize that a lot of what they put online will stay for a long time and can affect them for the rest of their lives. That's not to say that adults don't make any mistakes - whether the dad that did that video likes it or not, the video of him shooting his daughter's laptop is going to be around for a long time. Hell, even "the tech guy" Leo LaPorte forgot to close his Google chat and recently showed the public (through a few lines of sex-chat) that he was having an affair with his company's CEO after someone with a good eye noticed when they rewatched one of his posted shows.

I guess my point is that Keith is 100% right with saying think before you tweet some dumb shit. It's going to be around for a long time. I just don't know how you get kids to realize that mistakes in the digital era can blow up worldwide. You could keep them from accessing tech, but will they just pull an Anthony Weiner when they're older and end up having a high chance of doing something even more retarded because they didn't get to grow up with all the bullshit?

Here is the link to the search warrant about Chris Brown beating the shit out of Rhianna. Any woman that says he can punch her anytime obviously has never been punched(or bitten) in the face by a man before.
