Luckily, I met my wife in the U.S. when she was an exchange student. So she actually fell in love with me. I did steal her from her fiance back in Ukraine, but I didn't have to drag anyone around by the hair.

Just an update, she has not left me.
I'm going over to her place tomorrow night and she's cooking me dinner and we're watching a movie before she leaves for work. I'll admit that it's annoying when I've been over there because her roommate, the aforementioned guy, hangs around the entire time and we don't really get any privacy. But my gf has said that she's set up a TV in her room so we can watch the movie in private.

I don't want to start up the whole teasing argument again, but I thought I'd share this. It's an article about a girl that was attacked here and comments about how bad it is in Ukraine for women. It's in the opinion section of the paper, so take it for what it's worth. You can see a lot of the coverage on this story if you just search for her name. The comments are very revealing about Ukraine in the articles, and are split between 'kill the bastards' and 'she was asking for it.' You can see one of the comments on this article stating that this "was a fight between a girl with a long record of prostitution arrests and three johns."

I'm sure business as usual for prostitutes is not pleasant at all, but it probably doesn't include gang rape, choking, immolation, exposure, amputation, and 3 weeks of severe agony before death.
