what I don't understand, is how Chemda can pull off fake crying so damn well. If it was me answering the phone, I would just fuck with them the entire time. I don't care about your life, if you cry your just showing weakness. Then again, nothing fucking works with these people. you can't win. You have my sympathy.

A quick note about H.R. Giger from nerdspace:

Giger (www.hrgiger.com) was the artist who designed the creatures for both Alien and Species. He's a Swiss wacko who does some absolutely brilliant artwork and sculpture, and probably shoulders a large amount of blame for the goth movement.

Is the 'leaving home age' in America this low? I am 20 years old and i dont think im ready to leave yet. I have a job but i have still 4 years of school ahead i cant even afford living somewhere else at the moment. All of my friends live at home too (and no i dont only know geeks or whatever) maybe it is because i live in another country. Also i think it changes if you hate your parents, i only live with my dad and brother and sister and my dad works a lot.

Also i think that is because the age of some things is later here. Like marriage etc.

Chemda's and Dan's stories of customer support reminded me of this one time in college.

This was about 10 years ago, still using dial up and porn wasn't as plentiful as it is today. So, I go to this one site and it appears to be free. But what they didn't tell you is that they (somehow) disconnect your call to your ISP and directly dial an international number to access the site. So I get my phone bill for the next month and BAM!! $250+ dollars more than usual. So, I call, of course it was a female and she sounded kinda cute too (yes that is relevant). So I proceed to ask what this charge was and she looked into it and told me that I had made an international call. I told her I had not. This started the banter as to how it could have happened to which she told me (uncomfortably) about it being a porn site and that they had some how made it so that I had an international telephone connection. So, I may be wrong on this but being the earlier days of porn and me being in my early 20s you might think that talking about this with what sounded like a cute woman might have been embarrassing to me. Wrong! It's $250 after all and plus this is the same guy who would buy the porn mag used by most of the guys on his dorm at the age of 18 because everyone else was too embarrassed too (I got first crack at it ). So we go on and she keeps trying to tell me what happened, (still uncomfortably) to which I kept replying, "I know what it is (I jerked off to it) but I didn't authorize it and did not dial the number." Finally she does the paperwork or whatever to start an investigation. So I get a letter 3 weeks later, with my name typed nicely middle initial and everything from Keith's dad of all people!!! From the phone company of course. Not only did I not have to pay the $250 it turns out I got $250 worth of credit on top of it. I didn't realize I never understood why I got both but I don't typically call support when tings work to my financial advantage to ask why. Is that wrong?

I really think Dan was one of the better comedian guests. He actually seemed that he knew what he was getting himself into and every statement wasn't a joke. Great show.

I totally agree!! He is in my top 3 of the non regular guests (crazy mike, jesse joyce & Dan). Emily Epstein was also very good (would love to hear her on the show again), but please bring Dan back.... Very funny and smart and was keeping up nicely with Keith and Chemda. Would love for him and Jesse Joyce to be on a show together.

I think that for every university degree you earn, you are allowed one extra year to live with your parents. So if you have a bachelors, you get 12 months to back home before you need to be out on your own. Masters, two years, and if you have a PhD, I would hope you're smart enough to figure a way outta that mess.

I actually didn't mind living with my parents after grad school, but the commute was so annoying. They saw me spending every minute looking for apartments, (and jobs) so they backed off a bit.

I'm so making a mental note to go there. Giger is really amazing. Fucked in the head, but amazing. I was thrilled when they came out with his Li II figure. I geeked the hell out.
