Sharing my winnings depends entirely on how serious I am with my SO and the trust I have for them (but after all, if I have very little, I ought not to be with them in the first place).

I would treat my winnings wisely (paying off all debts first, investing the rest), so if the SO's attitude is all about expenditures and luxury, then only one of us will be benefitting.

It's funny when someone says a lot but I have no idea how they voted.

I don't see why I wouldn't share it with whoever I'm with. I'd likely give at least a million to everyone I know and like anyway. Another big chunk I'd give to charities I like (like the local public radio station), give enough to my alma mater to name a building after me or something. The rest I'd invest then pay myself a comfortable yearly salary of like $75k/year and just leave it all to some other type of charity when I die (assuming I don't have kids). If I did have kids, I'd put it in some kind of very strict trust fund until they're old enough to know what they're doing (probably at least 30). Of course I say that now. I'd probably just buy hookers and drugs if it actually happened.

I love Brolo on the show but the first thought in my head when I listened to the song was, way to pander for an audience, so I see where you're coming from.

Me and my defacto girlfriend do/ would share everything. We both hate shopping and are hermits so it would take us forever to spend lottery winnings. I guess you can pay people to shop for you, right? All I'd want is a nice house with nice practical stuff in it. We would travel more though.

I'd also keep to the essentials. Mansions around the world so I can follow the climate, latest Aston Martins in each one for every day of the week. So that's at least 4 mansions and 28 cars that need to be updated each year. I wouldn't have enough to give away to my SO.

I came across the craigslist rental scam a few times when I was looking for a new apartment. The guy was "in the military" and owned a 2br 2 family house in the hipster part of town and the rent was about $600 lower than it should've been. He was okay with letting me see the apartment before moving in but paying rent was to go through a realtor. I contacted the realty company and they had a huge warning on their site about how they never accept money on behalf of owners.
I reported it on craigslist and it was taken down but kept finding different variations of the same ad (different st & branch of the military).

Re lottery: I never play, but I put down $5 for mega millions. I would take care of the guy I'm dating now but I wouldnt give him any money straight out. We're not that far along yet for that shit.
