I've been with my boyfriend since I was 18 (same age as the "engagement" question people). We have been together nearly 8 years now and there is no ring... and I have no interest in one any time soon.

When we were 21 we were just finishing University, living in the same city and about to move in together for the first time. Now 5 years later we are living in seperate cities while he is finishing his Masters degree and I am starting my career. If we were married one of us would have had to sacrafice on that.

Even in good relationships, things change a lot in your 20s. Don't get married at 21.

I think the real question is whether or not these two are virgins. Perhaps this rush is all about something else entirely.....

Yes but it was during a riot where the whole place was getting trashed and I'm sure the place sued the hell out of Axl and his touring company.

I'm not saying that 'mob thinking' abdicates individual behavior, but I believe it does mitigate it.
