I'm not giving Keith an apology because A I didn't do anything to him to feel sorry about and B he's got a big enough head already.

This 11 year old "singer" owes my ears an apology....Jesus. I would be worse than her, but I wouldn't sing it either. This could be a regular segment; how many of these butcherings exist?! 500?

If you're interested to read more about the rates of grown-children-living-at-home check out this article from CNN Money, which claims the rate is as high as 85%!
"[the job market is] so hard that a whopping 85% of college seniors planned to move back home with their parents after graduation last May, according to a poll by Twentysomething Inc., a marketing and research firm based in Philadelphia. That rate has steadily risen from 67% in 2006." It's only one article, but cites several different sources. |

From a purely cynical perspective, there are a multitude of reasons to support NASA. Economically, every $1 we put into NASA returns $7 in new technologies. The thing about science is you have a thing in mind you want to accomplish, and you accidently create a whole bunch of stuff to accomplish that goal. NASA is the reason why we have stuff like solar panels, artificial limbs, heart pumps and such. This technological advancement is also key to keeping ahead of other countries particularly the Chinese. Any civilization that fails to innovate or advance has failed, though more than a few that did innovate also failed.
newspace3 NASA spin-off technologies - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia I've also seen a lot of sci-fi movies and such. After seeing Deep Impact or Armageddon one too many times, coupled with the knowledge that there used to be dinosaurs makes me very concerned about how all of humanity is on this one planet. Perhaps we should have a backup group on Mars in case things go wrong here. The idealistic argument is....well, space is next. Our species and our nation is built for exploration, to try and look over the horizon and see what's there. We should explore the star because it's what's next. We're quickly running out of stuff to do around here. And with the price tag of a one cup of coffee from everyone in the country to do this, there's no reason not to. Uh...great show. Patrice should be on more often. |

It's hard for me to imagine that anyone would seriously be against putting money into space exploration, so I always hope that Keith is exaggerating his apathy for humour, but I just don't know sometimes. |
