I don't fear gods because I don't fear things that aren't real... at least not since I was a kid.

Christian was getting at the confusion in definition that many self-proclaimed "agnostics" have when thinking they are middle of the road since they are not atheist or theist.

Agnosticism (from the Greek - a (without) gnosis (knowledge)) is a claim concerning itself with knowledge, or rather, the lack of knowledge. Someone who claims that they are agnostic when it comes to gods is simply stating that they don't know or cannot possibly know. It is not a claim upon belief.

While it is impossible to "know" for certain whether gods exist or not, that does not mean that one is prevented from evaluating the probability of a god's existence and making a conclusion and having a belief. You either hold a belief that there is a god (theist) or you do not hold that belief (a-theist, or not theist).

What is most important to note is that atheism and agnosticism are not mutually exclusive. One can be an agnostic atheist or a gnostic atheist. Agnosticism and atheism make completely different claims regarding completely different levels of cognition. The majority of atheists freely admit that while they cannot "know" for certain that a god exists, they lack belief that it does -- based on the lack of evidence, unlikelihood of the claim, disbelief in magic/supernatural beings, etc.

When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

Riddle me this, lad: as God had designed the game, is He allowed to player hate?

Fear of God doesn't mean to be afraid of him, but to respect him.

I enjoyed most of today's show but it could have been edited so as not to take so long.

X of God doesn't mean X of God but Z of God.

I think this poll is going to be skewed...more people are afraid, but they think they know what answer Keith wants...

I always find it strange when people say to only take parts of the Bible literally. "Hey guys, don't believe in the parts that are unreasonable. Just believe what I tell you to believe."
