Yeah, he doesn't release them right when they're recorded. The monologue in the beginning is always fresh on the spot, then he pulls out, "This was a great conversation I had with so-and-so." He even previews episodes a few days in advance. I only started listening to WTF when I heard KATG was going to be on. I was several episodes in before I realized, wait, did I ever hear the KATG episode?, and couldn't find it. WTF is great without KATG, so it's gotta be even better with 'em on. A few of those LA shows are kind of meh without KATG, and so are some others they haven't been on. Anybody else get a more positive vibe from NYC shows in general? Maybe I've just got a limited scope.

Yeah, I made a pest of myself and Keith reminded me that he told us in the LA podcast thread that WTF is the only one they did that hasn't been released yet. I kind of want to email Maron and say, "WTF?"

Haha, for real. I feel like KATG listeners are in on one of his little secrets: exactly how long he takes to put up new stuff. It's one of those "man behind the curtain" moments. Yet another reason why KATG is so unique and part of its appeal is that it's 5 days a week, done live, and then goes up immediately with no edits. Their process is very open and transparent, raw and honest.
