When I was in high school, we were required to take a class called "Current World Issues." You were supposed to learn about what was going on in the world, but the teacher I had said that was stupid and any idiot could just pick up a newspaper. So instead, he decided he was gonna teach us how to survive in the world. He taught us how to register for college classes, how to deal with a roommate, how to balance your checkbook, how to read a credit card offer, how to NOT get into credit card debt, how to invest and how to start your retirement fund. Frankly, I remember more for that class than any other class I took in high school. And because of that class I was one of the few people I knew in college who wasn't stupid enough to get into credit card debt. Yes, that sort of class needs to be taught. It was a lifesaver to me.

I'd love to know where this cordial conversation is taking place?

I've only ever seen these confrontations at a bar and I can't imagine someone saying saying "oh excuse me good sir, please take notice of the ring on this woman's finger and refrain from making such advances."
Then drunk patron replies "Oh do excuse my forwardness. I was terribly mistaken and I meant to offence to the kind lady."

I dont want to sound like an ass but it took about 3 years for Lauren to grow on me. When I played this episode and heard Lauren was going to be on it I literally went "yaaay!" outloud for the first time ever. Maybe I was just disgruntled and angry at life a few years ago (sounds about right) because now I can't understand why I wouldn't like, let alone adore, Lauren.

My boyfriend's sister's boyfriend (also my bf's coworker) just won 25,000 on a scratch off. Literally 2 days ago. He told a fellow coworker and told her not to tell anyone. We're still waiting to see if he uses that to leave my bf's sister. They've been together for years and in their 30's and live with her parents and fight all the time. Anyone taking bets?

My guess is that he wanted to keep it a secret cause he didnt want it to get back to bf (cause he'd tell his sister) but my bf said he's not gonna tell her. he's all for this guy getting out while he can.
