Was The Onion's "cunt" remark toward Quvenzhané Wallis too much?

I thought it was too much. I understand the train of thought that a "joke can't go too far" because it's a joke. However it's a bad idea and generally not cool to call a child a cunt. The jokester is an idiot. So yes, they should apologize to the child.

At the same time... no one was seriously hurt and there is no need to blow it out of proportion as this issue has been. I believe the majority of people so "up in arms" are trying to ride off the energy created by the original idiot. These people could care less about Quvenzhané Wallis. These are the folks trying to make it a race issue or a woman's issue. Just not a very good joke. If more people disliked the joke than like the joke, it's a bad joke.

I'm happy to hang shit on women drivers (and women in general) but that was a stupid fucking comment.
