I nominate Cat and Lauren for greatest "Putting up w/ K & C working with their respective Ex's' Katguh Award. It's long been over due.

Some people need to go to college to find out college isn't for them. At my graduation from our local junior college (General Education degree and Communication diploma) I realized I didn't learn anything.
I'm over 500 posts, some of them were numbers, does that make me a writer? |

Keith made an excellent point on comedians apologizing for their jokes. Remeber when Doug Benson went on FOX News to apologize to THE ENTIRE COUNTRY OF CANADA over a joke about their military? WTF?
Either take a 'controversial' stance with your viewpoint/ comedy; or do not. The 'I'm just kidding' is a given... fools. |

Liz is right if you want to go do something just go do it. If you want to learn something pick up a book and learn it.
I often see people in similar positions as mine but with more potential opportunity complain about their situations. It drives me crazy, but then I had the realization that there are people who are probably thinking the same thing about me. |

I was going to write something about college (or University) being worthwhile, depending on your professional field. Then I remembered it's an American podcast and we're talking about the US education system.
So yeah. College is a fucking waste of time unless you want to be a lawyer or doctor etc. Even then it's probably a waste of time, but you need the piece of paper at the end. Side note - I was in Boston for a bit, and went to Haaaavaaahd & bought a T-Shirt. Fucking comfortable, so I wore it a lot. Sometime later, I went to the doctor for some general thing (still in the US) and asked me if I'd been to Harvard. Being the hilarious cunt that I am, I said "yes". He immediately looked interested (my medical problem had been boring him) and asked "Oh really, when and what did you do there?". When I replied "Last year, and I bought this T-Shirt" he was less than amused. I can still picture the arsehole's face. He probably would have looked less upset if I'd called his daughter a cunt. |
