Its not God’s will, nothing is. Humans have freewill to do whatever they want. All things, good and bad that happen to humans are strictly a result of human actions. That is why there is the ultimate reward and punishment of heaven and hell, this is one of the most basic ideals of Christianity that most Christians and atheists seem to ignore. As the Christian mythology goes, God gave us free will and then we used that free will to “steal” the knowledge of good and evil. So God lets bad things happen to good people and vice-versa, because we chose to do it to ourselves. I’m not a Christian or atheist, but whenever I hear people discuss religion it’s a counter point that atheists make that always bothers me.
