It'd be worrysome if our government would require a strict moral code in candidates. It'd be nice that candidates to be moral, upstanding citizens, but in no way should it be required.

I know you can do this.

Any answer I give would be untruthful. If his policies and stances were most in line with my political ideals as compared to the other candidates, I could envision myself voting for him despite this scandal. Because I do not know his stances I can't give a definitive answer.

The answer to this is shrouded in such gray areas that it's irresponsible to funnel it into a simple yes or no question. It's a shallow judgement to not vote for him based on this. If this is the worst thing a mayoral candidate does I'd be fucking happy. If it turns out Christine Quinn had in the past embezzled city money, and Quinn and Weiner were absolute equals in stances, I'd vote for Weiner in a heartbeat.
