I think the poll question is misleading.

I've named pets male names when they were female, but I have never gotten the sex of my pet wrong. I can see how such a large percentage of the audience has "addressed" their pet with a non-traditional gendered name, but not actually not know if a four-legged pet was male or female.

Here is a thought on Keith and Hugsy's gender. Clearly, Keith isn't some wacko guy who is into beastiality. Why the hell SHOULD he know the gender? Besides, sociology tells us that sex=the biological genitalia and gender=how the being identifies itself.

If Hugsy identifies as a male and Keith is a cool progressive who approves, (as suggested by Scumhook) then so be it.

Keith was kinda rough on the big dude i thought for sure he was going call him a fat fuck at some point.

With that said, his name is Larry XL. I certainly hope I wasn't out of line with Larry XL.

My first cat was mis-sexed. The woman who I adopted him from said "he" was a girl, and I believed her. But I took him in for his first vet visit a few days after I got him. The vet flipped "her" around, looked under "her" tail, and said, "And she's a he!" (Their testicles don't descend right away) So Maxwell Smart (formerly known as Mali) was only misgendered for the first few weeks of his life.

I think Hugsy's unisex.

This bitch understood the science just fine, and was just saying that certain scientists might get better results from the dummies who vote before they heard the show if they were clearer.

I'm glad you "discovered" your pooch was female. Imagine if it were a couple years from now - Hugsy would have been a lesbo and you would have kept trying to train her to lift her leg when she goes potty.

Another great use for the KATG podcast. This weekend we drove to my wife's cousins' house. A 4 hour drive, but over 5 and a half with holiday traffic. I picked out a book to listen to and was doing well, but the last hour or so I was shaking my head fighting sleep. I switched to this and immediately perked up. Hilarious! Thanks Keith, Chemda and Larry XL. Obviously on the way home it was KATG all the way.
