Hz is a unit of frequency. For power distribution circuits it neither makes it more or less deadly. Oz electricity is indeed at 50 Hz compared to freedom loving 60 Hz. Practically the only difference is that your muscles will spasm slightly slower on 50 Hz. The frequency of electric mains is approximately 60 times faster than your heart, and your heart rate has nothing to do with electric mains frequency.

Oz voltage at 220V will tend to hurt a bit more* than apple pie voltage at 110V. However, the deadliness is actually dependent upon the power delivered to your heart which brings us to:

Current is circuit dependent and is measured in amps. Higher current is more deadly at the same voltage. Most Oz and drone loving circuits are designed for similar power loads and therefor a koala circuit will have half the amp rating due to it's double voltage. Power is measured in watts and is the product of the voltage and current.

Power delivered to a human from electric mains depends almost entirely on the current rating of the circuit, because the voltage is being held constant for the entire grid. So if you want to know how deadly a circuit in your house is, just look at the current rating on the circuit breaker. Higher amps means more danger.

These are all generalizations about the electrical mains. Electricity is dangerous. I've made deadly circuits with 9V batteries. Take it seriously.

*It hurts more due to ohm's law, one form of which states P = V^2/R which means that the power delivered goes up as the square of the voltage. Your body in this case acts as a resistor.

Thanks flercho. I now can safely say that I understand a little more about AC; however this is balanced out by a new terror that 9V batteries now hold for me...
