Confession. I play roller derby. I am a fan of roller derby players far better than me. At the WFTDA championships I purchased a Texas T-shirt because I just really like their merch and thought it would look good on me. Had not particularly been a fan of their team.
The difference (I hope) is that in derby we kind of all (mostly) support and love each other. Also, the next day I did end up rooting for their team as they almost took down a formerly untouchable team. I mean look at that shirt, so awesome. |

However, a friend who bought a pink tool kit.... yeesh. THAT rubbed me the wrong way. "Look it's pink for ladies!" In all honesty if they would make tools for "ladies" that actually had a purpose, like better cushioned handles or something that would be kinda nice. My soft lady skin is delicate. |

If women want to support a sport, they should follow soccer.
They can pick up some hair & beauty tips from the players, and "oooh" in sympathy when one of the girlymen breaks a nail and gets carted off in a stretcher for an emergency mani/pedi from the team doc. |

Air Con
Just listening at work and I gotta say, not only am I one of those who turned down my AC, I haven't had it in 10years or more. Granted, living in Canada isn't as hot as some places, but in the summer it gets pretty roasty.
You can survive without it, easily. |

The WWE did too, although I don't know how much of the merch sales went to breast cancer research. Their proceeds were donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
I was under the impression most pink merch was made to support breast cancer research, but I'm into sports as much as Mike Lawrence is. |
