i dont think i ever hated a movie as much as i hated american hustle, all year.

Also think its peculiar how all the people who say its a GREAT movie cant preovide a reason besides "well, it is".

I was all ready for this show, webcam on etc and then the doorbell rang. It was a lineman from our local power company. He said they had to shut the power off on our street for an hour due to maintenance. So there went the live show . I heard the show later and enjoyed it.

Pat Dixon records his super hilarious New York City Crime Report podcast out of Creek and the Cave. Odd he wasn't there.

Makes me wonder if he was working on the road, or simply stoned out of his gourd, sprawled naked on the couch, pondering which tie he likes more

It is very dangerous to be gay in Russia. There have been numerous attacks on gay bars and clubs and there was a vicious attack on a peaceful gay protest. George takei earlier this year called on the Olympic committee to move the Olympics. It is illegal to show any kind of gay propaganda. People are being beat and jailed regularly. I will not be surprised at all to hear if more attacks at the Olympics.

I liked American Hustle. If I were to give it a grade it would probably be B+

I think a lot of the hate being aimed at American Hustle has to do with the it being overrated. It was fun. I'd classify it as a "romp." If it was food it would be a candy bar. Sweet, momentarily satisfying, but lacking any real nutrition.

Wolf of Wall Street was too long, to the point where I was actually getting mad just sitting there in the seat. The movie did have great acting and cinematography, which elevated t for me. I would probably give the movie a B- overall.

I do think that Wolf of Wall Street has some incredible, all-time best scenes. That quaalude scene, you know the one, sits among other greats in the annals of movie-making history.

Whenever I hear anything about some controversy or other with a country hosting the Olympics, I just tell people....we let Hitler host the Olympics in 1936 and it really doesn't get any worse than that.

Hidden Sugar

I was amazed to find many sugars added to American and Canadian products that were listed in "no sugar added" products. I knew about 50 names commonly used to disguise added sugars, because apparently according to the laws the FDA has to abide by (passed by Congress and approved by various Presidents, both sections of government apparently influenced by lobbyists) only certain ingredients have to be identified as sugar and usually have to be 'named' as a sugar. So I did a bit of digging recently and found a whole lot more. All these are sugars, and only a bit less than 100 have to be identified as sugar in the added sugar content.

I think Chris was funnier than JFOD in the actual jokes but JFOD's little Manic nature, physical comedy and call back to Andrea won the crowd over a bit. At the time the crowd also knew JFOD a lot better at the time of the voting.
