In response to Keith: Pretty much.
Brian: It's undeniably a good place to see all of the current pop acts perform. Sometimes, one is even surprisingly good. They all blew this year, though. Last edited by skeetshart69; 01-31-2014 at 04:59 PM. |

also adding the live arrangement of Bangerz because the band is good and i'm a sucker for organs, stand up bass, and getting frenched by well placed reverb.

I guess I'll give it a listen. In all seriousness I wasn't being snarky. I have heard a few of her songs and....She's okay and other times not good at all.....I just assumed she got where she is because of her dad and her TV show.

that's why the door was wide open to her, absolutely. i also have a feeling she's a real pro in the studio and a joy to work with; she's surrounded herself with some really legit artists and that's a lot of time my yard stick. she seems well adjusted, happy, and in control of her career choices. this is the music she's making at 20; it's fun burgeoning sexuality, well produced, catchy, and targets a super loyal fan base of which she makes use like a pro to ratchet herself into a position to /keep/ making music at the level she's accustomed to. if she happens to become a style icon in the meantime, fucking fun bonus; good for her.
people compare her to the britney's and christina's, but she has the benefit of having grown up entirely in the Nashville music scene. she gets it. the work and the fame and all that comes with is not new or surprising to her. it seems as though she is just having a ball doing what comes natural. i like it. |
