Whoa. Lost respect for Bob Dylan, Led Zeppelin, and Red Hot Chili Peppers, but now have a new appreciation of PiNK. Also, if Pink invented a completely new and undiscovered sexual position, would anyone be surprised? |

no, no
She wasn't singling live. But let's pretend she was since your mind is made up. She quickly got set up and everything that entails with the acrobatics, backing music, and vocals - everything came out flawless - but the NFL can't have a band perform a simple live song? Not that the answer really matters because Pink didn't do it either. |

Fuck music at halftime. Do live comedy. Or if that's too risky, do a comedy video, like the SNL shorts. Much more of an innovative and uniquely creative show that way, as opposed to merging together a couple of music acts.

does live comedy work with the audience so far physically away? will people in the outer seats be able to hear clearly and understand the storytelling in the space?
i'm gonna push back on the SNL short style comedy video being innovative.* plus, they're 2-3 minutes. 12 minutes is A LOT of time to put into a skit. will the energy of the stadium audience suffer? it's traditionally been a high octane event to bridge the halves. you want the crowd still frothing when you get back on the field. *if it was for its time, it is no longer.

Not a skit, a short. And it wouldn't have to be 12 minutes. Whatevs.
You could spend a year or more doing the short, with the best writers, who would get more out of exposure than a band who is already known by 90% of the population. Or, hire the South Park guys to write a topical script a few weeks before. But, you know what, fuck it. It would probably end up being Dane Cook on stage, and watching animals get smashed with a steam roller for 12 minutes would be better than that. |
