Listened to the latest podcast. I just want to argue Keith's point that homophobia is somehow more perpetuated by African Americans. I have noticed that it seems to be more exercised and prevalent among conservative whites in America. Conservative white government officials are literally writing up laws to ostracize gay people. Conservative whites will drop everything and line up to support anti gay companies. They own and contribute to organizations who lobby against gay rights. Conservative white bible thumpers will hop on the next plane to a developing country to feed antigay sentiment to the citizens under the guise of missionary work. I think placing the brunt of homophobia on the black community is another way mainstream white lgbtq supporters take the blame away from their own community. Yes, of course there is homophobia in the black community but I recoil at the attempt to paint a narrative in which African Americans are the majority pushing people to stay in the closet.

That's because white men are in power. That's not related to what I'm saying.

When it comes to regular people like ourselves, it seems to me that, in general, it's easier for a white person to admit they're gay to their friends than it does a black person. Compared to whites, it seems that black men pride themselves in being far more masculine. You've heard that eating pussy makes black men feel feminine, for example. They simply say it's gay instead of feminine, of course.

Even eating vagina is gay!

You're being defensive as if I'm blaming black men for homophobia. You know what I'm saying. Like we said, there's even a term for it: on the downlow. Us whites don't have a term for it.

Thanks for the reply! Oh my bad, I shouldn't have mentioned how homophobia is institutionalized by conservative whites in my argument. I should have focused on anecdotes about who eats pussy and who doesn't based on race. The ease of coming out has a lot to do with how liberal one's friends and family are. I still think its extremely difficult for those who want to come out to their friends and family in white conservative christian areas. Especially when laws against them are being supported by their own community. Also the white term for down low is just "in the closet".

Posting unbroken blocks of text is also very, very gay.

I think that if the first amendment is being used to allow a 31 year old teacher to sext a 13 year old pupil then the first amendment should go to jail.

I wish the 1st amendment allowed me to kill and rape you for such a stupid post.

As Larry said, the teacher should lose their job; but going to jail is a whole other level of censorship and government intervention.

And we don't even know what sort of "sexting" it was.
