People have definitely diluted what a "friend" is. Do we need to add the word "great" or "best" in front of the word "friend" for it to really mean something? They're called "words," Myqael. Look into them. |

Either way, I think the point still stands, because people who are on the side of NOT being friends with exes are usually against being friendly acquaintances as well. They're not like "you're FRIENDS with your exes? that's crazy. I'm just FRIENDLY with them." There are a lot of people who are like "I hate all my exes. They're crazy." That's the kind of thing that I'm talking about when pointing out the potentially less desirable non-friend ex situation. And I'm not best friends with all my exes, but I'm on real friendly terms with a lot of them. Maybe you'd call them acquaintances, but the point is, we're friendly. And it's nice. I'm glad you're my friend Keith. Non-diluted friendship, Myq |

Then I guess I'm on friendly terms with my exes also. We don't talk either.
And don't magician lawyer me. Friends and friendship are two different words. Last edited by Keith; 05-17-2014 at 12:39 AM. |

I feel as though you're pretending not to understand on purpose. For example, I have an ex that lives in San Francisco. I'll hang out with her when I'm there, and we'll chat once in a while throughout the year but we don't talk all the time. I consider her a friend, though you might call her an acquaintance. I have an ex that lives in NJ. I'll have dinner with her once in a while in NYC, and we might text every few weeks and chat once in a while. I consider her a friend, though you might call her an acquaintance too. Either way, if they're acquaintances or friends, I'm on friendly terms with them. Because I talk to them and care about them. Just like I'm doing here. See? We're getting to be better and better friends. |
