Hmm...
He was just this guy, you know? Not some prophet, no dying for your sins. Just someone who said (among other things, some bad) "be good and treat others well". To be fair, there were a lot of those people around back then. Jesus just won the history lottery.

I just feel like you should know that, with all due respect, that's religious.

"Just some dude..." Then bring up the nice guy down the street instead of Jesus.

Fuck this church.

Peace and love peace and love.

I think it comes down to Jesus the person vs Jesus the magical superhero from the Bible. Beneath all the religious BS there's some good stories that have good lessons (just like some kids books/fairly tales/fables/etc have good stories that teach good lessons [Ugly Duckling, Hansel and Gretal, etc]). That's what it was focused on. The first half of the sermon focus on Walt Whitman and one of his poems, and he isn't a religious figure.

Whatever though, judge not lest ye be judged. Some dude said that, can't remember who.

I don't get it.

Then the speaker should be reading from The Ugly Duckling or Hansel and Gretal (Hansel and Gretal???) instead of talking about a character from a racist, misogynistic, homophobic, and hateful book.

As for, "Judge not lest ye be judged," what do you think that second "judge" refers too? Other people judging you? No, it means, "don't judge others or GOD will judge you."

C'mon now...

I used to have UTIs all of the time and the peeing after sex thing is the only completely effective way to avoid them. When I was pregnant I slacked off and didn't pee after sex ONCE. UTI. Boom!
