Most people would choose that their packages be left at the door or in the backyard (with a notice telling you where it is), or anywhere relatively safe. Driving to the post office or, even worse, courier pick-up location (UPS, FedEx, DHL buildings, etc.) is such a pain in the ass.

Pre-fund the retirement accounts, what a novel idea! A shame the post office is being forced to show how their math and accounting of retirement will actually work instead of just making up chart and graphs and let the next generation deal with the consequences.

Imagine if Detroit, GM, Chrysler, Enron, Public teachers, and any number of retirement entities that have gone tits up had such a mandate 30 years ago.

Here's another reason for USPS. They don't fuck you as hard with fees. I'm in Canada and if I buy something from the States and have it shipped by UPS or FedEx, they bill me ridiculous amounts for broker fees. I've ordered stuff that's $40 and had to pay $30 in broker fees. That's not even including shipping fees. Broker fees easily go up to $100 and it's beyond dumb. USPS charges like $5 for the same thing.

EDIT: Oh, and everyone can do a JFOD impersonation. Just talk really fast, then pause and say "bekwughz."
