If someone is really determined to kill a person(s) then there's not much one can do to stop him/her. I think a better way to handle this problem is to teach tolerance of others and for teachers to be alert to potential problems.

I voted, "yes" - the Bodyguard Blanket is a good idea. But it doesn't fix the underlying problem (obviously).
What happens when something different becomes the weapon of choice? Replace all of the Bodyguard Blanket's with version 2.0? I'm afraid the only way the U.S. is going to get gun control is to replace Government en-mass. Swap popular consensus seats with the underdogs/opposition. I was happy to see that recent political upset in the news... there's hope yet. |

For years we've enjoyed Chemda and Keith recount their old job of dressing up for kid's parties.
For years I've hoped that one day a parent will get turned onto KATG and upload video of one of those parties K & C worked. Any kid's horrible 8th birthday party footage would be so fun to watch. Keith dressed as SpongeBob getting punched in the balls. Chemda's bra strap exposed in a Barney costume. |

Australia already handled the gun thing, now we're putting in an effort to curb hand to hand violence in a more forceful way then the USA does about guns. But maybe we shouldn't even bother trying because if someone is determined to punch a person.... |

It is very difficult to keep up with which school's been shot up today.
One thing that's disappointing is the low bodycounts that the youth of today rack up. Obviously the violent video games don't translate all that well into IRL. For a sparsely populated sandpit with massive gun control, we're doing pretty well: https://encyclopediadramatica.es/High_score |

We've definitely considered it, but not because of random acts of violence - because teachers are dummies.
I'm guessing if shootings were occurring in the suburbs of Toronto, we'd find a way to "afford" a 50% pay cut, and home school our children. |
