I've heard that men out number women 100 to 1 in Alaska. Where as in the rest of the country women out number men 10 to 1. No amount of money is worth that shitty ratio.

Those ratios are not believable at all...

The male:female ratio in Alaska is 107:100 (That's about 52% male, 48% female). The female population in the rest of the US outnumbers men slightly, mostly because women live longer.

My parents work for a Port Authority (don't want to say which one) letting people on and off cruise ships. A few times a week the Port Authority security staff does a "liquor pull" which means they dump out all of the alcohol they've collected since the last liquor pull. They have long tables full of booze that has been confiscated. It's in regular liquor bottles and water bottles as well as mouthwash, shampoo and conditioner bottles. Some people will try to bring a case of water onto the ship but will empty out five or six bottles from the middle of the case to refill with liquor then try to reseal/repackage them. Obviously some alcohol gets through but the amount they catch is astounding.
Aside from alcohol, they get rewards for finding guns and bullets. Nobody ever seems to remember that they had those items left in their suitcases from other trips and act surprised that they were there.
The non-alcohol items they confiscate more than any other is handcuffs. They will allow people the opportunity to get the handcuffs back when their cruise returns to port but no one ever does (probably embarrassed) so the Port Authority ends up with boxes and boxes of handcuffs.
