This is less about Palestine versus Israel as it is about Hamas versus Likud.
Hamas = extremist terror group. Likud = extremist terror group. That is the thing people should focus on. For my money, I'm gonna go with Palestine and Israel without these two poisons. |

Likud currently holds 20 seats in the Israeli Knesset. The Knesset has 120 seats, meaning Likud holds 1/6 of the seats of parliament. They govern by alliance with many parties, some more moderate and some even further to the right. To equate it with Hamas is to make a claim that the two are alike, so where are the Likud suicide bombers? Frankly, you're just being flip because you want a nice narrative with two equally horrible sides, but where are the Likud terrorist training camps? |

So the IDF behaves in a manner equivalent to Hamas? Where are the IDF suicide bombers? Given the many opportunities, why does the IDF take steps to avoid civilian casualties?
You're just being flip because it'd be nice to have two sides equivalent in bad behavior or malice, but the world isn't always balanced like that. |

Are we even watching the same war? |

And let's be clear: the IDF routinely called residents prior to strikes to warn them that an attack was imminent, something no other country does to my knowledge. We're not watching the same war because you're not even watching the war. Compared to other conflicts in the region, civilian casualties have been light. If the IDF wanted to inflict maximum civilian casualties (the goal of Hama's), the figures would be staggeringly higher. |
