I have never heard of anyone actually holding a child down in a corner. That can't be a real thing.

True. I don't think time out does shit. I have had time out as a kid and it just made me angry. In most situations I fell like you can just reason with him/her. I also believe that if you are unable to control your own temper you shouldn't get the right to have kids I'm the first place.

If you don't agree with physical punishment I completely get your argument. But these piece of shits that have no self control just beating their kids down is pathetic. I've seen it so many times its unreal. And the fact that they have the balls to do it in public is even more alarming.

I never said timeouts don't work. Maybe they don't work for all kids but they do work on some. My kids seemed to learn from timeouts but I've seen just as many that need something else like having a favorite toy taken away for a while or not getting to do something fun that their friends are doing. There are a lot of different ways to discipline, just depends on the kid.

Thanks
I see anything involving Chemda's fundy religious folks and it reminds me of MY fundy parents and it's very upsetting. Also, I don't "give my daughter a notice of redaction" you dicks. I wait until the next day. I pick her up from school and say, "You know how I yelled for like 5 minutes straight and made no sense?" She says yeah. I say, "Well forget all that shit. I love you. You're fine." Then I buy her love with ice cream and/ or video games. Because I'm an American... The End. |

If you want your kid to listen to you, simply scream at them and verbally abuse them for any mistake they make, or even if you're just in a bad mood. Terrify them and destroy their spirit so they become more pliable. Only when they feel totally worthless can they truly be controlled.
