when you're a parent, this becomes even more awkard. I never bring up religion, but I've had other parents talk to me about the cultural church they go to and, because we share that culture, encourage me to bring my kids there. I don't know if they're s very religious family, heck they could just be trying to be friendly, but I'm put in a weird place of simply avoiding the conversation entirely, as I know "atheist" is tantamount to mean "bad person" to many religious people. Thankfully that is changing, albeit slowly. Much more slowly than I would like, but hopefully my grandchildren (fuck that makes me feel old) will have less an issue with this. Quote:
You crucify it on your left hand and see no issue with anyone being able to run out to the store, buy a 5th of vodka and drink themselves to death. You can't seem to see the issue with that level of thinking. I know you're an intelligent person, but in this school of thought that doesnt come through. You end up ranting like O'Riley or Hannity. |

Seems like people have a really hard time with realizing words have different meanings to different people. Were I come from all stoners are druggies, but not all druggies are stoners. And it's like being called a sponge, sop, alky, etc.
Also, anybody that thinks Keith is out to crucify people smokin' and force some vodka on them has smoked themselves retarded. If you ever listened to the show he's admitted that it wouldn't kill him if alcohol were illegal and there's a chance he's gotten high once or twice. Also, on the spoiler issue: Hugsy dies in the end. Now everything's even. That's about season 48 of the Malley Show.

I believe Keith has less respect for people who smoke marijuana versus someone who drinks alcohol, even if the person who smokes does it less frequently.
His tone and attitude are very different towards them. |

I don't think it has anything to do with respect. Sounds to me he questions the reasons for smoking, already knowing people drink to get inebriated. I think he was just trying to say smoking does something similar.
Just a side note, I know that weed has great benefits in regards to illness' like cancer, glaucoma etc. I just see his point, there's no antiviral effect. Take any drug you want when you have the cold/flu that makes you feel better. It's not curing anything. Just making time go buy easier until you do feel better. |

I said nothing remotely like this. If you really think the war for marijuana is you against people like me... what can I say. Good fuckin' luck out there. Now excuse me while I go smoke weed. Cheers. So Chemda's a stoner? |
