I don't understand Chemda's point about the need for a murder trial. The defence just needs to provide reasonable doubt, not innocense. Otherwise the government can just harass the citizens at will by making them defend murder cases.

The presence of conflicting witness accounts already establishes reasonable doubt, so there's nothing left for the defence to do. Why would it be just to make a person go through trial when reasonable doubt is already established, only to appease the public.

It's also why we can't bring Chrmda to trial for killing Michael Brown. There's reasonable doubt to whethers or not she did it because she wasn't in Ferguson at the time, so we don't need to go to trial.

It would be a failure of the justice system to prosecute at the discretion of the media.

This is a very interesting point. So the consumption of the content isn't the issue? It's the job creation, domestic sales and associated tax revenues of such content that parliament has a problem with? This no make sense!

I just listened to today's show (and loved it). I agree with Chemda that the ban on spanking is absolutely insane. In my experience, there isn't much of a difference if it's during sex or foreplay. All I know is that in anticipation for pain, my body prepares itself for pleasure. It's relieves a lot of tension and adds to the total experience. I think as long as there isn't malicious feelings attached to the act and a lot of communication and trust between partners, it's fine.
