Big props to the woman who called in to share her experience.
Not an easy thing to share with people.

If Bobbi and Nick did meet when they were both 12 and grew up together as teenagers I would agree completely with Chemda - this would be just two hormonal teenagers that happen to live in the same house.

But Bobbi was only 8 when he came into the household at 12, they only started dating after Whitney was dead and left no money to Nick so only Bobbi had money, he claimed they were married but apparently they weren't ...
That all sounds majorly shady and exploitative.

Awesome show! I love Chemda's real talk. What a fucking powerful brave woman. truly inspirational.

Regarding miley's man voice...
I think this backyard recording session of Jolene captures both the power and masculinity of her voice better than anything else: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOwblaKmyVw
And if you've never seen Vanessa Bayer's impression of miley, it's worth checking out...

And with miley herself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vC-HXAHUM3o

Regarding how long to leave someone in a coma, check out this video of a man who woke up after 12 days of comatose (after docs had encouraged his fam to pull the plug). Shortly after waking up from his coma the guy wins a car on a scratch off lottery ticket. Then, when the local news comes along to do a piece on him they ask him to re-enact winning the scratch off, so he buys a ticket, scratches away, and ends up winning $250,000 on top of it all. guys, if ever I fall comatose, give me at least 12 days!

Chemda,

Your letter to your parents made me cry. It's honest, sincere, and authentic. It's also respectful. I had to write one, actually two (parents divorced), just like it 10 years ago when I took my relationship with my partners to the permanent level.

It took my Mom a little while, but she now loves and has accepted my family as hers. My Dad never did and died without us talking. His loss.

It took me a long time to learn that people, even your parents, will treat you the way you allow them to.

Congratulations on your impending nuptials to Lauren. He treats you the way all people should treat you whom claim that they love you.

Amanda

On another note...

A good friend was in a car accident last Thursday and has been in a coma since. Doctors say they are waiting for the swelling to reduce and hope she will regain consciousness then.

It really is a fucked up situation to think about pulling the plug... What if we waited one more day, or two more days, or 100 more days.

Glad it's not in my hands.

Amanda

I don't have any kids, but I wouldn't disown my eleven year old. She needs me even more now. Still legally responsible for her, unless they take the parental rights away.

Just because you guys are friends with judy gold now does not make her a comedy legend. As a very recent listener of your back log of shows, I know for a fact that neither of you think she is funny. I realize it was kind of a throw away comment of chemdas but it bothered me.

I'm sitting at work listening to the show, like I do every work day, and suddenly, I'm tearing up over here in my cubcile while Chemda reads the letter to her parents penned by Judy Gold. You go girl! Chemda, you rock, and I'm happy for you two and for all the love and family you've built for yourselves! L'chaim!

(I rarely post on the forums, but I just had to express this sentiment :) )
