Just to clarify my feelings about ISIS because it can be lost in conversation. I'm not praising them. I'm not saying they are the moral equivalent of the US military. I'm trying to explain the reasoning behind people joining their ranks, beyond calling them stupid, savages and sociopaths.

I think you need to understand the mindset better, if you want to defeat them.

At 19:14 they artistically dump rubble on the cage he's in to supposedly treat him the way he treated them. The rubble and bars of the cage make it look like a scene from a bombed out house. The bars of the cage look like rebar from a building.

Again, I don't agree with anything that they're doing, I'm just trying to understand the enemy and it's motivations.

after the news story about the three teenagers who disappeared in Turkey and are believed to be isis babes now I just started to really wonder "what the fuck" as well.

is there just a very small amount of incidents that seem like a bigger thing because they're all over the news or is everyone suddenly turning really goofy?

I wonder that too. In general, we hear about more crimes happening across the U.S. and think "Crime is going way up!" but it's actually that we have access to more news. We hear stories about shootings in towns we normally wouldn't know about because there's so much access to news. Crime is actually down to record lows.

I feel like it's partially the same with these other incidents. If these girls weren't flying across the world to become ISIS wives, maybe they'd go across town and be gang member hoochies (or gang leaders, woman can be anything they want).
