What about Jimi??? Jimi was good, butonly because h was different from what was going on at that time. Dying only elongated his legend status.
Randy Rhodes??? Fast a furious, but way to short of a career to make a long lasting impression Dave Navarro??? Good, but not enough to make you sit up and listen Kerry King?? Never heard of You guys seem to be really stuck on SRV. Yes, he died young, and that adds to the legend, but listen to the music and there is a way it seeps into your soul and it Moves you. Plus he took stuff that was already classic blues music and changed it, owned it |

sure there are lots of great guitarists out there. there are plenty who are technically better than a lot of "legends" out there. andres segovia comes to mind. he probably forgot more than clapton ever knew. but there's just some people out there that have the soul and style that stays theirs no matter how hard people try to copy it. SRV, for example, told more about the song and his state of being while playing than nevaro or clapton ever could.
of course, i guess i should say "in my opinion". it really is an individual preference on styling. |

Hooray for Anti-V day!
THANK YOU CHEMDA! I thought I was the only girl who hated making a big deal out of Valentine's day. It's like you channeled my thoughts! My boyfriend got so suspicious when I told him I didn't care about Valentine's day and every day leading up to it kept checking to make sure I wasn't setting some trap for him. Just thinking about planning some elaborate Valentine's day makes me itchy!
