I don't think its only African descent peeps that keloid.
Story: 14 years ago, I had a gross bump on my back shoulder that had grown painful and swollen so, not having insurance I went to a clinic to get it checked out. The doctor said dont worry about it, it's a keloid, theres nothing we can do. At that point I'd already had two tattoos and having done the research went back and said look, I have tats just fine, I have many many scars (I'm super clumsy), and this thing is painful. This isn't a keloid. Doc says "it's a keloid." So I go to a "real" doctor and pay out the ass for him to say "holy shit that's cancerous we need to cut this out of you asap." It was a cancerous growth that had possibly been floating around my body from an operation I had when I was 8 and had a cyst under my earlobe removed (infected street fight). They sliced me open, stitched me up, and when they removed the stitches... I had a keloid. Can you imagine?! (Oh and I'm super fair skinned of South American descent. If anything I have German blood from the nazis in Chile.)
