I know right? I usually like to work out to katg episodes or do chores while I'm listening, but this time I actually had to sit down to process it.

She said something about "lack of respect" but goddamn this was beyond, it was cruel, inhumane, and even if you don't believe in the concept of evil, but the way she described them actually seeming to have a good time at the wedding brunch while she was in their presence that they seemed to embody that.

One of my ex boyfriend's raped me (in addition to physical and mental abuse) and I still have to see him in town, and even after we broke up and he admitted to it, he still said "oh come on" and frowned sadly when I refused to hug him, or acknowledge him. Once he even came up to me on the subway and went to touch my arm when I was by myself around midnight. It doesn't even occur to him that my feelings of hatred towards him are valid, or that he can respect my space even after our breakup. People think of him as a "good guy" - he still has all his friends. He's even cool enough to listen to this show, hell he introduced me to it. It doesn't occur to people that someone can be decent in some respects of their life and do some incredibly mean things to another.

And yeah, I can't prove the rape, even though he admitted to it verbally to me. Unless one is sober, if you've been beaten and there is evidence of physical trauma to genitals/mouth, or a witness, or if you're underage - it's really hard to prove in court.

Anyway, I cried, laughed and identified a little. Thank you Wendi.

Yeah ditto. I've never blacked out from booze period and the idea of doing a whole night of anything, let alone sex, without remember any of it, scares me.
