Living in a more rural area I generally carry a pocket knife since its a useful tool. I don't actually carry it for protection, but it is usually on me.

More than once I have received the pepper spray that attaches to your key ring as a gift, and if I am walking by myself at night, my keys are between my fingers 90% of the time.

Also, I hope no one missed Kim Davis being walking out to "Eye of the Tiger" after being released from jail. You can't write this shit: https://youtu.be/ydyFhIjdRlU

Is there one thing? Or nothing at all?

I thought Rae was painful. It wasn't an enjoyable listen.

I carry a packet knife with me. I grew up in Brooklyn and live in Cypress Hills (northern most part of East New York) which is close to where Rae grew up. To be clear, I am probably pinker than Keith (very white) which is unusual for the area- but I didn't just start carrying something when I moved there. I've always carried a knife since I was old enough to take the train by myself in the 90's. Maybe that sounds weird to people but its just second nature to me because my parents gave me one and told me to carry it on me. I guess it makes me feel better but its not a matter of living in fear like Rae said- I've never been jumped or attacked in the city and I feel like its way safer than it used to be. Its just better to have the pocket knife in case something happens rather than having nothing to protect myself with.

Also why do people dislike Rae so much? I enjoy hearing her perspective- it seems genuine to me. I'd rather hear someone be honest about things that are uncomfortable than avoid talking about it. Do people think she is disingenuous or just not entertaining?

I get you. Sometime ya feel a bit stabby, so its good to have knife handy. Let those other motherfuckers live in fear.

and Keith

You mentioned Chet, but didn't play the clip - I really missed it.
