to my fellow bernie-bros and bernie-broads, don't get discouraged: https://johnlaurits.com/2016/04/28/t...ic-convention/
there's a lot of math on there, but the short of it is this: it's extremely likely that neither candidate will have the 2,383 delegates needed to secure the nomination. but there's still a fighting chance that Bernie could still secure a simple majority of delegates. plus, there's still a better chance that some of the fraud investigations and recounts going on right now will earn him some delegates, if not outright flip a state or two. obviously it won't be easy, but don't bail on him yet! and for people worried about Trump winning in the general, take a look at the popular vote totals so far: Clinton - 12,135,109 Drumpf - 10,056,690 Sanders - 8,967,401 Drumpf only has 1,089,289 more than Bernie, but Hillary is crushing Drumpf with 2,078,419. it'll be ok! |

Keith I surprised to still hear you say you'd vote for Trump. I guess I assumed after you began to FTB that you moved away from the idea of a goofy, gag, "Why not have Trump" idea altogether.
I guess I'm curious what you mean by Evil. Most of what I hear from Clinton-haters are that she's a liar and flip flopper, like when you bring up how she legislated anti-gay in previous years and now acts like she has always supported LGBT people. In this ep you'd said Trump just wants to be popular and will go with what the people want and will ultimately act progressively...isn't that the exact same thing? She knows that now, in this era, being progressive and inclusive will get her votes and that's what she has been building herself as. Is that evil or is that what ever person who wants to be popular (elected or otherwise) does?

Quote:
Bernie winning a simple majority of delegates has been off the table mathematically for weeks. Also, your simple math on Trump/Hillary is meaningless. Trump won pluralities in most states, not majorities, due to the number of competitors in the field. Conversely, Hillary's been running in essentially a two person race. Those popular vote totals are meaningless for the general election. A hard core Ted Cruz voter isn't likely to pull the lever for Hillary, and Cruz has gotten quite a few votes himself. |
