You don't get those Porsches (invented by Hitler) by being a good guy. (also doctor patient privilege is enshrined in law, that's like saying you're a good guy cause you don't mug people. but maybe you're an arsehole who has done the risk reward analysis) Last edited by My Sweaty Balls; 07-31-2016 at 06:12 PM. |

I think no one should trust any nutritionist
who doesn't understand that Potatoes are one of the few foods you can eat that has what is considered complete protein.
Protein is of amino acids. Humans cannot make certain amino acids. These are considered essential to growth and life for humans. Meat and Cheese, contains all the amino acids required. Vegetables, grains, roots often have what are called incomplete amino acids. If you are a vegetarian/vegan, you have to combine foods, to make sure you get the right amounts of amino acids in the right proportions. For instance, you should eat wheat with legumes, which together give you enough of the right amino acids in the right percentages to keep you alive. Potatoes, Quinoa and Sesame seeds are some of the few foods that you can eat to give you your complete protein without eating anything else. However, you do need to eat over 2 kilos (4.4 pounds) a day of potatoes to get enough. In the 1800's the Irish ate almost only potatoes, at least until the potato famine, when almost all potatoes were wiped out by disease. Numerous diseases are caused from not getting enough of the right amino acids in your diet. Bottom line: Never trust a nutritionist who says "Potatoes don't have protein." |
