White people can be aware but not woke? I thought that's exactly what it meant: a person--probably white--realizing that while they thought things were pretty much fine for everyone, there's still an enormous disparity in day-to-day black life vs. white life.

Taken further, what does it even mean for a black person to be woke? Can you be black without being woke?

Maybe it's time to try shaming the 19 year olds, because seems like fucking one makes up for a whole lot of embarrassment.

Cupping
 

I have remedial sports massages once a month and have had the 'cupping' thing done a couple times. If I had particularly sore spots on my back or shoulders from lifting that week, sometimes they would use the cups to further massage the area and promote blood circulation to the area. So, from my very basic knowledge, the cupping you saw on Phelps was probably to relieve some muscle soreness that resulted from training in the lead up to the Olympics.

It seems they all do it though.

I have cups. I'll try it.

I saved the see something say something num-ber to my phone for just such occasions as Chemda encountered (888-692-7233) but have never had to call.

Some of my favorite things in life are
1) Chemda trying to guess when Keith is being serious or joking, or whether he likes something
2)Keith complaining about stupid assholes
(and because we're still talking about it) 3)Libby's laugh

so this episode was all around aces
