No, you don't get it. Some podcasters from Podshow Whores Inc have full-time job salaries paid by Podshow - independent from downloads. Keith has been offered part-time contract based on bonus based on downloads, not the full time contract that is not based on downloads but is payable whatever the amount of downloads is (plus bonus for downloads).

So not podcasters all at Podshow Whores Inc are stupid....

firstly don't demonize Adam Curry: he is not number one in Podshow Inc but Ron Bloom is. Adam Curry is just the PR marketing guy.

secondly as I said before: not all get part-time deal as Keith got, some are getting full time deal where they get full time salary independently from number of downloads.

Can anyone else substantiate this (with/without hacking into shitecom's libsyn account?)

As I recall Chemda was saying more than 100K/month, but these guys put out 20 shows in a month. So I guess that is something like 5 - 10K listeners, since not everybody will track it daily. It's not hard to believe IMO after a year.

OTOH I seem to recall Curry claiming 10 Million listeners. Now I find that REALLY hard to believe. What is your opinion?

Yeah, maybe because they are putting 20 shows out with that number of listeners on each show, that could actually happen.

And I don't believe that Curry has 10 mill. To THAT, I really call bs.

I don't believe in ANYTHING THAT ANY podcaster claims about number of downloads. Of course Curry sausage has company to run so to attract advertisers they need to specify artifically blowned out download numbers...

anyway, I don't care about number of downloads: Keith be nice guy and publish somewhere (here?) the whole TEXT of the contract - in text not in audio!!! Please!!

While i was working i out i thourght of this.

I think people would sign that contract, because they think they can make it, doing it the Johnny knoxville style. (just as keith explained a few shows ago) they are just saying KICK ME IN THE BALLS, COME ON ONE MORE TIME an then after awhile they will get to be in movies.
And since they want to be in movies, they don't care that AC owns their shitty podcasts.

Am I the only one here that thinks that the contract read is for a low level podcaster... Certainly keet and the girl would get a better offer. Perhaps even being allowed to keep there rights to past and future shows....

It doesn't make sense for Curry to offer this to a KATG... maybe a bullshit podcast like sportshawk radio (ha ha take that corey ya little whore) But KATG would get a much better deal
