I do not believe this is correct. I am not a copyright lawyer by any means, but from what I understand, even if you don't claim copyright over a work you have created, the rights automatically go to you. You don't actually have to do anything, and you still get protection.

I had images of Keith snuggled up in bed at 3 a.m., head on pillow, with wide eyes and an even wider smile, anticipating the reveal-all contract show they planned to do in the day to come. This made my laugh.

Poshow Inc has NOT offered any contract to "Keith and the Girl". Somebody fucked with them and sent them "part time contract" (not the one being offered to full time podcasters) or they fuck with listeners and they know it but just did it for publicity stunt. Anyway: Podshow Inc has not offered them any contract - that's the truth.

No Shit, Keith said about a dozen times. The 3 contracts came in the mail, from 3 different anonymous mailers.

Did you listen to the show or did Podshow send you over?

I think that was pretty clear from the fact that Keith mentioned several times during this show that podshow hasn't given/offered them the contract yet. That was the whole point, as once podshow offers Keith the contract, he won't be able to talk about it.

As far as I'm concerned, 40,000$ a year for 2 people isn't even close to QYDJ (that would be the insanely retarded "Quick Your Day Job") money.

Sorry I didn't listen to their whole podcast - I do other things when I listen to podcasts. Anyway I am in no way associated with Podshow so nobody sent me here.

And as I said before: Keith and G got low-level contract for part-time podcasters and obviously the contract from full-time podcasters is different. Keith and G took low-level contract and made big deal out of it - as if I they would actually be offered such a deal. If they would reveal the contract that full-time-ers get, then THIS would be something. This what they did with this low-level contract is much less interesting and probably destroys their chances to get signed for full-time to Podshow Inc. Couple weeks/days ago Adam Curry said something along the line that if Keith and G would be pro-active and contact Podshow Inc to be full-time, they would have chances, but this cheap self-promotion stunt of Keith and G may have destroyed these chances.

You obviously don't listen to KATG, I don't think *this* is what ruined their chances, I think it was the million other times in the past several months they called Adam Curry an evil podcast stealing piece of shit.

Still, this is a contract that podshow is offering *someone*. If this is the contract they are offering smaller podcaster, they are still screwing them offer, and the contract reflects that. Screwing someone over is screwing them over, regardless of how good their show is, and this contract appeared to me to be so one sided...that I can't think of what else it is except getting screwed over.
