no. guns are not sentient. you can't lock a dog away in a cabinet for safety.
i'm not calling them "evil." this semantics game is dumb. they're risky. you are taking a risk with your own life and everyone who comes into contact with your dog when you own one. that's a fact. |

Don't get it twisted. I'm not saying they're "poorly understood."
I understand they're killers just fine. You do too. Everyone understands. You somehow worry you're being dog racist so you're being silly. "All dogs have the potential..." Really? That's why you'll let your child pet my dog but you might think twice before they pet a pit bull? |

Keith, you're buying into the bullshit. I agree that pitbull type dogs can be dangerous. Also, any similarly sized dog can be just as much so. Rottweiler, doberman, german shephard: all have been singled out at one time or another. A "pitbull" is no different from any of those.
Do you seriously believe that a pitbull could bite as hard as a shark? Or are you playing child-rapist lawyer? The jaw does not lock. It is the same as any other dog's jaw. Please link the name of a veterinarian who says otherwise. I've already explained to you how your stats are flawed. Every short haired dog with a square face is called a pitbull as soon as it bites someone. There is no breed called pitbull. |

You have one, slevo. How am I gonna argue with you? I'd be calling your dog an asshole.
You win. "Pit bull isn't even a state!" |

Yay!
I'll try and participate more so I don't look like a psycho who just comes to defend pitbulls whenever it comes up. I want people to be safe too, but pitbulls alone are not the issue when it comes to dog bites. [edit] but just maybe I'm invested enough to have looked into it? like, more than for a couple of jokes? I like pitters but agree they can be terrifying monsters and the likelihood of their owners being equally terrifying; a thing. This being said, I think Sievo's pit is adorable and I'd dog walk him any day. Mostly because I'm not a pussy and used to having my arm yanked off cuz holy fuck those things are strong.
I'd also like to add that comedian Bill Burr recently announced he had to re-home his pit Cleo. He had to admit that the dog he had for years, (apparently fans would yell Cleo at shows and was known - beloved) would get over protective when people came to the door. He didn't go into detail but admitted with his first born kid on the way he didn't want to run into a bad situation. Look. There's many different dogs which is awesome cuz there's all sorts of people. I don't fault Keith's opinion of pits. They got a history for a reason. But I would suggest he actually hang with one for real and get his own bonafide opinion. I've had dogs all my life and pit bulls are a unique experience. First time I ever walked one my arm was sore. It's like walking a damn horse. Also, it's cute to pat them on their big dumb heads. |
