Obama's 2009 inauguration: 1 million people at the National Mall

Obama's 2013 inauguration: 1.8 million people

Trump's inauguration: 250,000 people

People STILL know they shouldn't be seen voting for Trump.

We need to see if Chemda was on a brand new pill that was invented for her brand new disease: a tumor.

I love the Research and Development argument. These poor pharmaceutical companies. They're barely scraping by!!!

nerdupyo 01-22-2017 01:10 PM

So I'm thinking the persistent troll Adam from Hollywood is "Hollywood Adam" the ex-co-host of Nobody Likes Onions, right? He's still stalking KATG after all these years? 😂

Totally. It's like, Pharma Bro!!!

it would be cool if eradicating disease were a priority and we could give research and development grants to scientists to develop needed medications to feed into a public health service.

i'm not agin capitalism, but when you commodify illness and human relief from suffering, i feel squicky. it's the same way i feel about assigning profit dollars to the incarceration of our minority populations.

Best Flavour of the Month

I voted for Misandry with Marsha because it not only made me laugh my ovaries out, it made me realize that I am a feminist. I laughed and I learned.

This was a close one for me because Shart Tank was so funny. Stephen is a natural host. The reason Marsha won over Stephen, for me, was because Kill All Men. I'd love to hear more of both.

I hate that I know this, but as an avid early listener of NLO I believe they called him Hollywood Adam because he missed an episode early on because he was out of town in Los Angeles. I assume they're not the same person but who knows.

Yes but NLO was based in Florida as far as I remember it was Tampa, and that he complained that he had to drive far to get to the place where they recorded. I know it could be another Adam from Hollywood, Florida but it definitely is a weird coincidence if so!

Research is expensive af. Lab equipment is expensive af. Paying all the participants is expensive af. Lab mice and other animals are expensive af. Plus you gotta pay the scientist, and they didn't go to school for 8 years to be paid pennies. And no medicine gets created with just one scientist, it's a team.

Then you gotta factor in the process engineers (they get paid a pretty penny too), quality control scientist and just the basic operating costs.

I'm not saying pharmaceutical companies, like all companies, don't hike prices. But shits expensive.

My coworker broke a $500 seive the other day. No big deal just pull out another $500 seive from the closet.
Our $500,000 analyzer break down? No big deal just have the company send down a guy and use the $30,000/year care package.

"If Still is right, and Trump’s inauguration attracted a third of the 2009 crowd, then there were anywhere from 300,000 to 600,000 people on the Mall on Friday."

A third of a million is anywhere between 300,000 to 600,000?

My Sweaty Balls 01-25-2017 03:26 PM

Well a third of the 2009 crowd of 1.8m would 600,000.

So while Trump is completely wrong about it being a record - it's doesn't look particularly low either.

I'm not against punching Nazis per se but if you sucker punch anyone you look like a coward and then if you fail to knock them out you look like a pussy.

This particular punch made the Nazi look good - I'm against doing that.

He looked amazing. He even sends the clip around he looks so cool.

My Sweaty Balls 01-25-2017 03:59 PM

You got me.

When I said the attacker made him look good what I meant to say was the attacker made him look cool.

Keith 01-25-2017 05:11 PM

I hear what you're saying. He looks great.

My Sweaty Balls 01-25-2017 05:43 PM

Yeah yeah - when I said the attacker makes him look good, I meant "this Nazi looks great. He's a great looking Nazi"

Keith 01-25-2017 10:33 PM

You're being silly. Obviously you're talking about how he looked as a nazi vs. how it looks getting punched as a nazi. And, below the surface, he looked real good.

My Sweaty Balls 01-29-2017 03:01 AM

From Dictionary.com

make someone look good:

Cause someone to appear in a favorable light

The Nazi wasn't a violent coward and the attacker was, so by comparison the Nazi was "made to look good", that is appear in a favourable light.

(I thought in your previous comments you were just being goofy)

Keith 01-29-2017 10:09 AM

He looked amazing. His girlfriend or wife is thrilled.

My Sweaty Balls 01-29-2017 04:48 PM

So you are being goofy
