If you can sit thru that turd for more than ten minutes, there's gotta be something you're enjoying, no?

Re: Milo at Berkeley

He was going to "out" muslim students & undocumented students.

THAT is what most of the kids were protesting.

The anarchists that showed up & turned it into something violent, those were not the kids protesting Milo's speaking engagement, they were folks that are known in the area for turning up the heat chaos wise to protests = Anarchists.

To quote Breitbart, the rag that speaks to the Milos of the world:

"MILO and the David Horowitz Freedom Center have teamed up to take down the growing phenomenon of “sanctuary campuses” that shelter illegal immigrants from being deported."

They wanted to put targets on kids backs, kids that are going to college.

I am all for free speech, but that is not free speech, that is targeted hate.

I'm enjoying using my brain to consider and reject his ideas. Sort of similar to what my brain is doing during parts of this discussion.

Kinda my point. You speak from some weird intellectual tower where you're this learned student of the world, and we've all gotta read his shit to truly understand his specific, nuanced, shitty opinion. Again, FUCK THAT.

I think we live in a world that thanks to social media everyone that has an opinion feels like that opinion has value, even though it probably doesn't...

Do I believe in free speech? Yes

Do I also know I can't yell fire in a crowded theater? Yes

Does Marcia saying "kill all men" mean we go out and kill all men? Yes (no I'm kidding, not all only some)

Do I think a hateful ignorant person with too big a platform has the right to come to a school & point out students to put targets on their backs for vigilantes to hunt down? FUCK NO

ALSO

Anyone that says "protest peacefully" take a look at history...

Show me how many peaceful protests vs protests that had violence incited on them (cause most protests don't fucking start violent, they are poked, prodded, hosed, and dogged into violence) where change actually fucking happened.

I've BEEN out in these streets protesting, and I do it peacefully...

Talk to the cops that push people to the ground & intimidate them with unnecessary force to be fucking peaceful.

if it incites violence, a legal case to be made to that end. i hope it doesn't, but he's spreading an incendiary message to a powder keg of people and it might backfire.

Sparrow, that's like when a woman goes to the cops and says her husband is threatening her, and they "can't do anything till there are physical signs of abuse"...

We shouldn't have to wait till AFTER somebody is targeted with potential violence if we see said perpetrator of violence pointing the loaded gun at them... ESPECIALLY IF SAID GUN HOLDER IS BEING PAID TO HOLD THE GUN

you can't pre-crime arrest over protected free speech. it's unconstitutional. until there is a crime, there is no crime.
