Have to say that the 9/11 and 911 calls were a bit disturbing to listen to.

The Survivor thing is nothing new. Pretty much every season the place that takes the bets starts to get a whole rush of big bets for a particular contestant, and betting gets closed. Whoever the contestant is, the betting is pretty accurate.

I guess the only way I could guess is that the cameramen and whatnot know who the final two are, and from that point, most of the time, you can work out who the winner will be.

And about the Polish women, I have to back Keith up on that one. Even though I'm a Pollack, I've never really been around them so I never really got a chance to check them out before. Yesterday I had to go to the Polish Church to get the basket of eggs, bread and what not blessed, and have to say that there are a lot of good looking women. That and men with mustaches.

That said, it's not really a religious thing, more of a family tradition.

The story i read was the guy/girl everyone was putting money on was cuming from IP address close to this persons home.

The Gambling site ran the IP checks and cancelled all the bets.

Guess that pretty much confirms it all as being real.

It's weird as I still would have thought that especially with this show where they are so secretive until the end, and apparently the staff get decent money, that the secret would have been kept more, ah, secret.

Anyway, I read this blog of a 999 (UK version of 911) call taker. Hopefully, this will restore any lost faith anyone has in these people that do that job for the right reasons - to help people. But it also looks at the bullshit they have to go through as well in dealing with the stupidity of some people.

I wanted to name my daughter seven. It was funny to hear Keit suggesting it as a name. It was "too weird" according to her mom so we settled on naming her "Sevaun", still a cool name I think but my uncles and stuff always call her Chaffon. ah well...

I was just thinking how great it would be if someone would parody that terrible 911 show from the 90's with these depressing-ass calls. Imagine actors re-enacting the little boy being told he's a liar by an operator while his mom dies and then realizing the call is a real-life recording.
