This dovetails into people arguing for legalization with a long list of reasons that become progressively weaker as they go. There is one really strong and great argument for decriminalization and/or legalization: the punishment does not fit the crime. But they can't stop with one or two very good arguments, they have to get out some obvious pseudo-science argument (which is not to say there is no scientific value in marijuana).

I think my favorite part of this thread is your impressions of your stoner ex-boyfriend haha, I practically hear the exasperation in the text "Why did I bother with that guy!"

Ahh this article is very interesting. I've been doing some reading on this topic myself after the show and I was specifically looking for a link based on long term marijuana use to the detriment of short memory faculties which could point to shortening of attention span.
I have also read suggestions that regular marijuana users should supplement was Omega 3 DHA to counterbalance wear on their memory. In that vein of thought nootropics may help as well.

There's definately evidence with alcohol and marijuana that until you're 25 years old and your brain is fully formed your should only partake in either drug quite sparingly. So potentially the impact of excessive/abusive marijuana for several years while under 25 may have an exponentially more deleterious effect on the brain compared to someone over 25.

I have so many funny stories about him. I just remembered why I finally broke up with him.
Will write it down later.

I was in my last year of law school and it was extremely stressful. My friend/ study partner Barbara and me made a pact of not breaking up with our boyfriends because this would only hurt our academical goals. We wanted to be professional and ignore our annoying relationships.
Stick it out for 8 more months. Guess how this turned out.
As an escape I got a crush on a guy in my program.
I tried to fight it at first. But then we were studying outside with my secret crush when my stoner boyfriend called. He said he registered for an exam but has forgotten to study and needs to deregister but he couldn't find it online and now he is in front of his college and tries to get in but it's closed.
If she should try to break in to find someone there who could deregister him from the exam?

In this moment my secret crush put his shirt off, it was quite hot, outside and he was also pretty hot.

This was the end of my relationship. I couldn't fight it anymore.
Barbara took me to the side and said, the pact is over. I understand.
