yeeeeah, i'm not on board with any manner of genocide. the idea of picking and choosing from "the other" who lives or dies is gross and i won't get behind it, not even with my tongue in my cheek. sorry, it doesn't become funny or acceptable just 'cause it's coming from "my side." do better.

that being said, Marcia really articulated things i haven't quite been able to on why it's hard to talk to some of these conservative fucknuts and why you're not going to come up on them with a clever sign and your enlightened take on current events and change any minds. thanks, bisch.

example of where you have to start the conversation: this sign and the confederate and KKK flags were put up in the downtown square last night. anti-this protesters showed up early and stayed until they were removed (yay love!!!). here was a snippet of response from some local townspeople.

it was a mix. if you've been here long enough chances are you had/got kin in the klan. it ain't nothin' folks need to be proud of, though. i worry they'll get emboldened to start insisting participation in community events. the only reason that sign got taken down was lack of permit and permission from the building owner and those things ain't hard to come by honest.
